Rumors and News

News (especially bad ones) and rumors are spreading fast with the information boom. The same happens inside the church.  I dare not to say I never spread rumors.  Moreover, you can never assume the one next to you knows nothing about your secret.  Given the amount of news I have heard over the last 2 years, what would be the biblical way to resolve the pressure?  I have a urge to talk over the news with brothers but at the same time I feel extremely guilty of spreading rumors, especially when my news source does not authorize me to spread the news.

I think there's a difference between rumor and also sharing.
At least from the intention point, they are different.
And also it depends on what group of people you decide to "tell" the story.

The Bible principles that I recalled is to speak the truth with love.
Sometimes, we always said that if you don't dare to tell that person on his/her face - better not to tell others.
Sometimes, we have to be careful also cause not everybody can take comments directly.
Sometimes, we talk to other cause we want to find out extra info to see how can we help out.
Sometimes, we really want to tell cause internally we are also being disturbed and we need to air out.

I don't have a lot of biblical referecnes. But I think pray before you plan to share if it's bothering you and then wait.
If you need to share, be careful of the audience you want to share - are they trustworthy, are they helpful to the whole thing, or ...

These are my 2 cents.
