God's word
How can we distinguish God's word from our own desire? We always hear some whisperings inside our heart but we are not sure where those words come from.
Oh yeah, that's also one of the queries I used to have.
Let me share what I have been experiencing and believing.. and hope it would be of great help to brothers and sisters reading this blog.
I believe the BIBLE and the CHURCH would be great aids for us to determine if those msg are from God or from our own desire.
But above all, the HOLY SPIRIT should be the FIRST SOURCE and BEST TEACHER who can tell us if the msg we hear is from EVIL or GOD. Very often msgs in our minds seem to be following God's way, but they may come from very hidden evil desires inside the deepest of our hearts that even ourselves don't recognize. Our hearts are the greatest deciever of all beings, and even ourselves can be cheated by our own minds :
But no worries, since the bible says there is One in this world who can know these hidden things:
「聖靈參透萬事、就是神深奧的事也參透了。」 ( 1 Cor 2:10 ).
So, seek our sweet Holy Spirit for helping us. Develop the lifestyle of walking with Him in every aspect of our lives... even in the least important aspect (e.g. shopping, eating, playing TV games... etc). Talk with Him, listen to Him, feel Him, live with Him. The closer we get along with the Holy Spirit, the more "spiritually alert" we become.
Also don't forget to share what we've experienced from the daily guidelines from the Holy Spirit with the CHURCH for confirmations.
And of course, never forget going back to the Bible as it is the most direct way to define the truth and the lies. The more we know the Bible, the more obvious we know about what is good and what is evil.

「人心比萬物都詭詐、壞到極處、誰能識透呢。 我耶和華是鑒察人心、試驗
人肺腑的…」 (Jer 19:9-10)
